Mums' Army: Stories of antisocial behaviour

Mums’ Army (registered political party 16536) has been established to combat antisocial behaviour in Britain. Launched in January 2006, we have continued to demand that the epidemic of bullying and violent behaviour be given higher priority by the government. With over 300 active campaigners across the UK, we put up candidates for the local elections in 2006 and 2007. Westhougton, Bolton: Lorraine Whitley

As a single mother to two teenage boys, Lorraine Whitley has joined Mums’ Army to put pressure on the council to provide more amenities and direction for young people in her area. She says: ‘We have a lot of problems on our estate and it’s a real struggle as a single mum. There needs to be more to engage teenagers not just in my neighbourhood, but nationwide.’
